Running in the Warrior Dash

Running in the Warrior Dash

I’m recording you now. Hi Tami! Good morning! Today we are on an adventure type thing, one
of those videos. There’s Seth again. You’ve seen Seth plenty of times before, along
with Tami and Wendy. Uh, we are doing the Warrior Dash. So we’re going to go register right now and
then we’re going to take a break, cause you know we need a break already. And then, uh, yeah, we run at like 11:15 or
something, so. We’re going to do the GoPro on the head and
hopefully we have something and not death at the end. Alright, so we’re with Sierra Trading Post
Company. Let’s see if we can win something. Can I spin it? Guy: “Go for it.”
Girl: “Yeah.” No whammies! Guy: “No whammies.” Stop! Hot and cold. “Hot and cold pack.” What’s that? Guy: “It’s to help take care of those bruises”
Oh, sweet! Thank you. Alright, let’s see everyone’s big prizes here. Seth got the water bottle. I got a hot/cold pack, chap-stick and Wendy
got another water bottle. So this is part of the swag you get with the
Warrior Dash, along with the t-shirt. I’m never going to wear this again for the
rest of my life.
Seth: “Yeah you are.” This is how you are going
to experience the race. I’ll do my best to pull it off and show you
stuff as we go along. I didn’t prepare for this race at all. Ooh, fire! Last year I was in much better sha.. *laughing*
much better shape! These two have to prefuel eating their egg,
uh, whatever, burrito. Tami: “Egg taco.” And I said, you know what, I ate like an hour
ago, so I don’t need to eat, but they ate 10 minutes ago and need to eat. I’m kidding. Whispers: “I’m not.” Alright, we’re getting ready to go. Announcer: “Are you guys ready to do this!?” “Here’s what I’m going to need.” “Help me with this count down.” “We’re starting to hear it.” “Five!” Four!” Crowd: “Three!” “Two!” “One!” Announcer: “Go Warriors!” Look! Tami’s already running faster than I want
to. Tami: “I know!” Tami, I need some some of that energy juice. You got any? Tami: “I offered you some, but you said no.” “The car’s over there.” I start at the beginning so I can feel what
it feels like as I work my way backwards. I’m not going to lie, this is really hard. Thank you. Check this out. Seth: “Yeah, I had mud balls in my pockets.” That was rough. The obstacles were great, pretty easy on those. That’s where I’d catch up. Tami: “Minus the mud.” She doesn’t like the mud. Uh, I don’t like the running in between. Seth? Seth: “It was good. It needed more water and mud earlier on.” Yeah, the first two miles were like four obstacles
and the stuffed the last eight obstacles in the last mile. So, yeah, that was pretty good. The first mile was pretty good. We were averaging about a nine minute mile
and then Seth and Tami got a little ways ahead and I stopped at the first mile marker
to get some water and then it was kind of a run, walk for me the rest of the way. But the obstacles were really great. I enjoyed those and if I had jogged a little
bit before hand, it would have been a lot more fun because the jogging part wouldn’t
have sucked so bad. But otherwise, it was a good time. Seth is going to try and win the best beard
contest. We think he has a good chance. We tried to figure out a way to split it into,
like two ponytails, but it’s just too unruly. The beard wouldn’t, could not be constrained
by mere rubber bands. Seth: “Nope.” So now, next we’re going to get our free beers
and maybe get some barbecue because it smells really good and then head home. Alright well, food is in our bellies. Start that over. Thanks a lot for watching. I hope you enjoyed this. *Seth Laughing* Alright! Well, that’s it for this video. Seth: “Are you prairie dogging it?” Turn that!… *laughing* Alright, well that’s
it for this video. I hope you enjoyed it. Hopefully the video turned out ok. It’s something, just a little adventure. Everyone wave bye. Tami: “Byeeeeee!” We’ll see you next time. Thanks.
